SUPERC: Compare two files with different field positions


1.Go to option 3.13
2.Type the New DS Name & Old DS Name to be compared.
3.Set the execuetion mode to 2
4.Type E at the command prompt. This bring another screen where you can enter the comparision fields. you can find the examples below.
5.TYPE
CMPCOLMN 5:7
CMPCOLMO 8:10
See the "N" at the end of cmpcolm, it means the comparision fields are for new DSname
The "o" at the end of cmpcolm, means the comparision fields are for Old DS Name
6.Press PF3 now.The system saves your comparision statements.
7.Hit Enter
8.The system generates the JCL
9.Submit the JCL
